BIO

Taylor Pitts is an author for kids and adults whose works often contain forbidden or unusual magic, all-consuming emotions, and a touch of the macabre. Originally from the Midwest, Taylor works in book publishing in New York City and holds an MFA in writing for children and young adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her short fiction has appeared in numerous print and online publications, and she is currently on submission with a MG fantasy. Taylor is represented by Ramona Pina at BookEnds Literary.

As a mentor, Taylor enjoys providing a structured approach to big-picture revisions, brainstorming creative solutions to the problems keeping you from moving forward, and generally being the world’s biggest hype man. She loves asking tough questions to get to the bleeding heart of the story and encouraging new approaches in order to challenge perspective.
